Fueled by six doubles and a triple, Union City High School’s baseball team defeated Verden last week 12-4 to improve to 5-2 on the fall season. The win came off the heels of a 9-1 decision over Dover.

The Tigers had only 13 hits for the two-game set, but eight of those were extra-base swings. Tyler Ross, Brayden Dennings, Lane Casey, Braydon Armstrong, Dalton Stout and Tyler Norton all recorded doubles over the two games, while Shane McNeil and Armstrong each added triples.
