Memorial services for William (Bill) B. Marshall of McKinney, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Oklahoma City with Kim Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow of Allen, Texas.

Georgia Self

Body

Services for Georgia Marie Self of Union City were held Friday, July 7 at the Huber-Benson Chapel, with burial following at the Union City Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Georgia passed away July 2, 2023, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Chanute, Kan. She was raised in Oklahoma City and moved to Union City in 1975, graduating from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1977.

Michael Kenton Redding

Body

Michael Kenton Redding, 43, of Oklahoma City, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born Aug. 20, 1979, to William K. “Ken” and Laurel (Hume) Redding.

He was born in Weatherford and lived in Hydro before moving to El Reno in 1985.

Michael graduated from El Reno High School in 1998. A talented musician, Michael learned to play French horn and was part of the jazz band playing the saxophone. He lived there until 2017 when he moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to his family.

Henry Charles Haley

Body

Henry was born Jan. 25, 1930, in El Reno. He was the son of Edward Marion Haley and Laura Alice (McCoy) Haley.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marjorie Taylor of El Reno.

Henry was a lifelong resident of Canadian County where he was a farmer/rancher and served as a Farm Bureau Insurance agent for approximately 40 years.

He married Edwina Baca on May 15, 1954, in Calumet, and they were married for 69 years. Henry and Edwina had four sons, Randy, Rick and wife, Barbara, Tim and Kenneth Paul.

Jerry Jo Burke

Body

Jerry Jo Burke, formerly of El Reno, died July 4, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 9, 1946, in El Reno.

Jerry graduated from Hinton High School and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Hinton. She was the owner of decorating centers in Anadarko, Hinton and El Reno and was active in El Reno Main Street. After retirement, she worked for Bob Mills Furniture in Oklahoma City.

Jerry is survived by her son, Joseph Lierle of Yukon; daughter, Teresa Langford of Minco; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

William Campbell

Body

William G. Campbell, 84, of El Reno, boarded the Heaven Express for his journey home to his Lord on July 1, 2023.

William was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Shamrock, Texas, to Edward W. and Zeda (Jones) Campbell. One of eight children, William came from humble beginnings, washing dishes standing atop a Coke box from the age of 12 where he learned his work ethic that he carried with him the rest of his life.

William Titterington II

Body

William “Tex” S. Titterington II, age 68, retired Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. Tex was on his way back home to Clearwater, Kan., from placing flags on veterans gravesites and flowers on family members’ graves at the El Reno Cemetery over Memorial Day weekend when he was killed in a car crash. The driver of the other vehicle had fallen asleep and overcorrected into Tex’s lane.

Henry Haley

Body

A prayer service for Henry Haley will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6. Both services will be at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating.

Burial will be in the Calumet Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. 

Mr. Haley died June 28, 2023, in Oklahoma City.

Dennis Cooper

Body

Dennis was born Sidney Dennison Cooper on Jan. 31, 1951, to Wilma Ethal Shults and Albert Leon Cooper. His parents divorced when he was an infant. His mother remarried Virgil Loucks and he was raised by him and his mother.

Dennis married Charlotte Morse at Trinity Lutheran Church on Dec. 29, 1974.

He went to church on Sunday and every Sunday, Pastor Harold Kamm would stand at the pulpit and announce, “God loves you and so do I.”
