Body Starting Friday night there will be 32 schools in Class 5A, including El Reno High School’s football team, all with the same record and goal in mind – getting to the playoffs.

Body El Reno High School’s volleyball team took another step toward the 20-win mark with a 3-0 victory over Class 4A’s 15th-ranked Tuttle last week. The Indians, ranked fourth in Class 5A, improved to 18-5 on the season.

Body Neither field used by El Reno High School’s softball team brought much luck last week as the Indians dropped home games to both Ardmore and Lawton Eisenhower in District 5A-1 action. El Reno was defeated 16-13 by Ardmore in a game played at Joe E. Riley Field.

Body El Reno High School’s volleyball team had a rare four-day break after having its Class 5A top-10 battle with Santa Fe South postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the Oklahoma City school. The Indians, ranked fourth in Class 5, will host the seventh-ranked St. Bernards Sept. 28.

Body Calumet High School’s baseball team got its offense shifted into high gear last week, belting out a combined 35 hits en route to a split against Verden and Arapaho-Butler. The Chieftains are 8-8 on the fall season after logging 21 hits in a 25-1 trouncing of Verden.
