For a team with one senior returning starter and slotted to finish in the middle of the conference race in the preseason, El Reno High School’s boys basketball team turned a lot of heads during the 2021-22 season.
Indians blow past Guthrie with shutout
A dropped fly ball off the bat of Brayden Fulton allowed Davin Shamblin to score from third as El Reno High School’s baseball team blanked Guthrie last week 10-0 in five innings for its first on-field victory in District 5A-1 play.
College stunt
El Reno High School senior Molly Carson signed a national letter of intent last week to become a member of the Oklahoma City University’s stunt team.
She is the second EHS cheerleader in recent years to sign with the Stars.
Rough break for the Indians
While able to put runs on the scoreboard, El Reno High School’s baseball team struggled to convert those into wins in the score book during the Indians three games of the Union City Spring Break Festival.
Basketball honors

Redlands Community College’s baseball team had a rough spring break slate, losing all six games to extend the Cougars losing streak to seven straight.
Rose State swept two games from the Cougars by scores of 5-4 and 10-4.

Logging the fifth highest point total among the 63 schools making up the three classes of the Large School Division, El Reno High School defended its Class 5A title at the 2022 Oklahoma Football Coaches Association’s State Powerlifting Championships.
Luck favors Irish
El Reno High School’s baseball team was slated to be back on the diamond for the 2022 Union City Spring Break Festival looking to snap a two-game losing streak.
The Indians slipped to 3-2 on the season and 0-2 in District 5A-1 play with a 7-6 loss to Bishop McGuinness at the Hub Reed Complex.
