DEL CITY – While other schools in the league were left scrambling to make up lost games due to rain, a little sacrifice by El Reno High School’s baseball team led to the Indians third straight sweep.

El Reno High School’s track teams took part in the first of two meets last week at the 2023 Weatherford Eagle Invitational, with the boys team taking 13th overall. Bugg Elledge had the highest finish among the boys with a sixth-place effort in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.90 seconds.

After a series of near misses in recent years, El Reno High School is headed back to the Class 5A Girls State Golf Championships with a full squad. El Reno took fourth place in the Class 5A West Regional played on the Aqua Canyon Course at Cimarron National Golf Club in Guthrie last week.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Despite holding a 14-6 edge in shots during the second half, El Reno High School’s girls soccer team dropped a 2-1 match to Mount St. Mary last week. The loss was the third in a row for El Reno, which closes out the 2023 season with a 5-8 record.

OKLAHOMA CITY – In one of the quickest matches this season, El Reno High School’s boys soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Mount St. Mary last week to close out the 2023 season. Both the boys and girls matches were trimmed back to a pair of 30-minute halves separated by a five-minute halftime.

Redlands Community College’s golf team must wait for an at-large bid to the 2023 NJCAA Division I National Championships after placing third recently in the Southwest District Championships held in Arizona. The Cougars carded a 910 total over 54 holes after shooting a 308 over the final 18 holes.

Kingston Arnold hit an RBI-triple to score Dalton Belcher in the top of the eighth inning as Calumet High School’s baseball team tuned up for the regional round of the playoffs with a 3-1 over Weatherford. Calumet, ranked fourth in Class B, improved to 16-7 on the spring season.

Extending its current win streak to seven games, Union City High School’s baseball team captured the 2023 Class A, District 18 Championship.

Union City High School’s slow-pitch softball team will carry a three-game win streak into the regional round of the playoffs following an 8-5 tuneup victory over rival Hinton.

Losing three of four games to Murray State has slipped Redlands Community College’s baseball team into a tie for fifth place in the NJCAA Region 2, Division 2 standings. The Cougars avoided the sweep with an 11-8 win in the final game after dropping contests by scores of 11-1, 7-0 and 8-6.
