Services for Janetta June Ray of Minco were held Saturday, Nov. 9 at Canaan Baptist Church with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Janetta passed away Nov. 1, 2024, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born June 26, 1939, in Okemah, graduating from Okemah High School in 1957. She then attended Hills Business University in Oklahoma City. She moved to Minco in 1968. She was a homemaker and member of Canaan Baptist Church.

Memorial services for Dorothy Mary McMurray of Colorado Springs, Colo., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at Northwest Community Center in El Reno with Brother Lee Walker of Rogers Street Church of Christ officiating. Services are under the direction of Swan-Law Funeral Directors.

Dorothy passed away Oct. 20, 2024. She was born May 22, 1945, in El Reno. She attended Booker T. Washington School from first through 12th grade where she was part of the last segregated class of 1963.

Lillian Marie (Stangl) Davis passed away at the age of 92 on Nov. 2, 2024. She was born in Okarche on Aug. 19, 1932.

Lillian married Jim Davis (Thomas James) on Dec. 12, 1950, at the Catholic church in Calumet. They lived in and around Calumet, except for the two years they lived in Portola, Calif. The last 54 years were spent in El Reno. 

Lillian raised six children of her own, plus many nieces and nephews. After her children were nearly all gone from home, she started working at the Credit Bureau of Oklahoma City, retiring after 25 years.

Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Loretta Demmer was held Thursday, Nov. 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Lance Warren and Deacon Lloyd Menz officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. 

Anna Loretta died Nov. 3, 2024, at St. Ann’s Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Union City to Leo and Anna Hentzen Demmer.

Judith Margaret (Huddart) Roach stepped from her earthly life to begin her eternal life in heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. 

Judith was known by many as Judy, Mom, Grandma, Oma, Mrs. Roach and Momma Roach.

She was born to Raymond T. and Marion (Alder) Huddart in Oklahoma City on Aug. 14, 1935. The Huddart family moved to El Reno when Judy was a small child. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church of El Reno where she taught children’s Sunday school for many years and Vacation Bible School.

Services for Myrna Delores Shook of Yukon, a former Minco resident, were held Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Hazel Dell Baptist Church, with burial following at the Gracemont Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Our beloved husband and father, Leo Joseph Lagaly, passed away peacefully Oct. 27, 2024, at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno.

Anita Dianne Wood, “Nana” as most of us know her by, was born Aug. 12, 1947, the seventh child of eight to Lando and Dewade Wood in Union City. Anita passed away Oct. 17, 2024, after having the time of her life in Branson, Mo.

John Christopher Holthe of Okarche passed away Oct. 25, 2024.

He was born Aug. 12, 1968, in Midwest City. From birth, John faced the challenges of cerebral palsy. Despite these hardships, he persevered and earned both his high school and college diplomas.

He was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, writing columns for the SWOSU newspaper and the Altus Times.

John is survived by his sister, Cathy Stone, and his brothers, Otto Holthe Jr. and Sam Holthe.

Graveside services for George Michael Burdick, a former Minco resident, were held Friday, Oct. 25 at the Lawson Cemetery in Yale, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Mike died Oct. 19, 2024, in Tuttle. He was born Oct. 16, 1959, in Crossett, Ark. He had lived in the Minco community, later moving to Tuttle. He had been employed in the food service industry. 

Mike is survived by his mother, Gertrude Burdick of Edmond; his son, Stephen Roberts of Edmond; brothers, Kendall Burdick of Norman and Erik Burdick of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.
