We are so excited to start the 2020-2021 school year at Rose Witcher Learning Center.
After our extended break, getting to be with the students in the school building makes us so happy. We, of course, will miss our second-graders who are now third-graders, but we get to have our first-graders come back to us as second-graders. We also are pleased to welcome our new first-graders.
Welcome Lincoln to the 2020-2021 school year. Our theme this year is “BE!”
We are super excited to meet all of our third- and fourth-grade students and just BE … together for the first time in a long time.
This year at Lincoln we plan to BE … happy, healthy, ready, responsible, friendly, helpful, adventurous, kind and thankful, all while keeping a social distance. This year may look a little different but we are planning to just “BE” present and learn!
So, get ready, Lincoln, we are planning to BE a lot this year.
I am so excited to be joining the El Reno family and am looking forward to the upcoming school year. This will be my 19th year in public education and the 10th in administration.
The Roblyer staff has already made me feel so welcome. I am excited to get to know the students who make this place great!

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Kurt Myers.
This is my first year as principal at Etta Dale Junior High School and will be my 24th year in education. I have been a teacher, coach and administrator in school districts throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
I can’t put into words the excitement I have for this opportunity to serve the stakeholders in the El Reno school district.
Welcome to the El Reno Learning Center at our location at 1100 W Pine. We are excited about our new school year and the great changes that have come with it as we continue to build relationships with our students, families and community.
The El Reno Learning Center (ERLC) is a non-traditional approach to education and the individualized learning process. We serve students seventh through 12th grades.
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed lead principal of El Reno High School.
I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with rich traditions and a strong emphasis on educating the leaders of our future.
After 10 years in the business industry, I am now starting my 15th year in education, with this being my fourth year in El Reno.

My whole life that word has been uttered as an excuse for me not getting around to doing something. Darla: “Did you take out the trash?” Me: Not yet…”
Recently, that word was used in a far greater and more positive way. Tim Pounds and I had a conversation about what the possibilities and opportunities might come from very crazy and unsettling times. He suggested flipping the negative connotations of that word and explained the following:
We haven’t figured out how to be great at distance learning … yet. But we will.

the first in the state to get the scanners, two of which were purchased by the district and a third was donated.

The giant hole near the Rock Island overpass reconstruction project will be filled in once the project is complete.
Lisa Salim, spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, said the hole was dug to provide dirt for both the detour as well as the ongoing project. After recent heavy rains the area became a small lake, but the water has been removed and work has continued.
Salim said the project is set to be completed by summer of 2021.
“We're pleased with the progress being made and weather permitting, everything should remain on schedule.”
A Canadian County deputy likely suffered a medical episode that caused a crash in February that claimed her life, officials said.
Detective Brian Fowler, an investigator with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said Lt. Shirley Lanning may have suffered a stroke or a transient ischemic attack before the Feb. 14 accident on Northwest Expressway near Morgan Road.
