State-ranked Chieftains pick up three tough wins, Union City on the prowl
Playing a fall schedule chock-full of ranked squads, Calumet High School’s baseball team posted a 3-2 record over a five-game slate ahead of this weekend’s Hammon Tourney.
All five games were in the Elk City Invitational and were against ranked foes as the Chieftains have faced 10 opponents in 19 games that appear in one of the state’s two polls.
Calumet, ranked third in Class B, took a 16-3 record into weekend play after defeating Sterling (12th/A) 11-8, Drummond (18th/A) 9-3 and Vici (16th/A) 11-3.
