Mary Ann Reynolds

Graveside services for Mary Ann Reynolds of Yukon, a former Minco resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mary passed away April 5, 2023, at Dorset Care in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Wheatley, Ark., and attended Central High School in Oklahoma City.

She worked for Western Electric and Lucent Technologies until her retirement as a part supply coordinator. She was a member of First Christian Church in Tuttle.

Lillie Mae Porter

Body

Lillie Mae (nee Schumacher) Porter was born July 6, 1923, to William F. and Ida (Liebscher) Schumacher, near Okarche, Okla.

She attended Elm Glen Grade School and graduated from El Reno High School in 1941.

She went on to receive her Associate of Arts degree at El Reno Junior College.

Lillie married Russell Finley Porter on Nov. 20, 1954, and moved to Bartlesville that same year.

They had two daughters, Janet and Sharon.

Alan Morton

Funeral services for Alan Ray Morton were held Monday at the Concho Community Center with Rev. Waylon Upchego officiating. Burial was in the Morton Family Cemetery in Geary, under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Alan passed away April 4, 2023, at his home in Anadarko.

He was born June 15, 1990, in Lawton and grew up in Okmulgee, Anadarko and El Reno and attended El Reno High School.

Lena Crabtree

Body

Funeral services for Lena Mae Crabtree were held Monday at Hinton Church of Christ with Jimie-Wray Mead and Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Burial was at Niles Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Lena Mae passed away April 6, 2023, in Binger, She was born Oct. 17, 1934, at home in Canadian County. She graduated from Hinton High School. Over the years, Lena Mae worked at Sickles schools as a cook, ran Kimberly’s Restaurant in Binger, sold Avon, and worked at Crossroads until retiring to the farm. She was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ.

Mary E. Williams

Body

Visitation for Mary Elizabeth Williams will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 9 at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, also at Holy Trinity Church with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Karen Morgan

Graveside services for Karen Fay Morgan of Minco were held Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Karen died April 1, 2023, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Chickasha. She was raised in Minco and graduated from Minco High School.

She had worked in banking and was a lifelong member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church in Minco.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Kerry Sowers of Mayflower, Ark.; brothers, Jerry Rhodes and Floyd Rhodes, both of Minco; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

William “Bill” Thomas Manning

Body

William Thomas Manning, known by most as “Bill,” from El Reno, Okla., was 94 years old when he passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Sept. 23, 1928, in Oklahoma City, Bill attended elementary school in a one-room schoolhouse south of present-day Banner School and graduated from El Reno High School in 1946.

Bill was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church (El Reno), where he married his wife, Laverne Kappus on Jan. 18, 1949.

Betty Lockler

Body

Betty Jo Rothrock Lockler was born in Mexia, Texas, on Sept. 20, 1947, to Joseph and Bessie Rothrock. She was welcomed by two siblings, James Homer and Laura. Later Betty Jo got to welcome Sandy, Joe and Charles to round out her siblings. 

Betty passed away peacefully in her home on April 1, 2023.

Her services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at Trinity Baptist Church in El Reno.

Lucy Snyder

Body

Lucy Melvina Snyder died March 30, 2023, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon.

She was born Sept. 6, 1945, in Elk City. A member of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes, she was a dressmaker specializing in bead work and traditional tribal clothing. She was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
