William Harris

William “Skip” Harris, a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully Feb. 11, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born July 1, 1954, in Greenville, Miss., he was the son of William B. Harris and Billie Harris.

Skip was a hard worker and a dedicated family man.

He dedicated 42 years of service to the same company in the oil and gas industry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Donna; his stepson, John Wigley; and his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Stan Woodcock of Greenville, Miss.

Services for Steven Anthony Gallaway were held Monday, Feb. 17 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Findley officiating.

Burial was in the El Reno Cemetery.

Steve died Feb. 12, 2025, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

He graduated from El Reno High School in 1976. He owned Johnnie’s Grill (1995-2016) and was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football.

Lola Lingo

A Celebration of Life for Lola Faye (Overton) Lingo will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon. Arrangements are under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Lola went to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 9, 2025. She was born to Ernest Murl and Eva (Dowers) Overton on Nov. 4, 1938. She lived on a farm southwest of Pond Creek until 1950 when they moved to Pond Creek Town. Lola is a graduate of Pond Creek High School Class of 1956.

Charles “Chuck” Hewitt

Body

Funeral services for Charles Ray Hewitt of Broken Arrow will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Ninde Funeral Home in Tulsa with Pastor Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Chuck passed away Feb. 8, 2025. He was born Nov. 5, 1933, in Webb City, Mo. He served 26 years in the Air Force, earning an Air Force Commendation Medal with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. He was employed 20-plus years with the U.S. Post Office.

Bobby Lawless, born Aug. 1, 1939, at the family farmhouse in Lookeba, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. 

James Franklin Thompson

James F. Thompson – “Jim” to most, “Jimmy” to a few, “Papa” to five grandchildren – died peacefully at home with his wife, Mary Jane, at his side. 

“I’ll just never understand how I got so lucky having Mary as my wife,” he would often say of his bride of 70 years. 

Born in Chicago on July 27, 1931, and fourth of eight children of Maurice and Blanche Thompson of Calumet, Oklahoma – where he grew up – Jim was preceded in death by his seven siblings: Maurice (Buddy), Helen, Mary Jane, David, Kent Lee, John and Richard.

Daniel Fulton

Daniel Edward “Danny” Fulton was born July 22, 1950, in Kingfisher.

Danny dedicated his career to OG&E and Enogex as a pipeliner, but his true passions were found in the great outdoors. A kid at heart, he loved any kind of adventure — whether it was hunting, fishing or traveling.

He was a proud Minco Bulldog, winning the state football championship in 1968, and a lifelong fan of the University of Oklahoma and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tristian Fielder

Memorial service for Tristian Paul Fielder of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at Party Haven Event Center, 600 Sabra Pass, El Reno.

Tristian passed away Jan. 26, 2025. He was born Oct. 23, 1996, in Denver, Colo. He grew up in El Reno, where he graduated from El Reno High School in 2015 and became a part of his loving community. He often enjoyed his time with nature and family and taught others the joys and practices of fishing and hunting.

He will be remembered for his compassion, sense of humor and loving nature.

Calvin Arnold

Calvin Patrick Arnold, age 23, of El Reno, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, in El Reno. He was born Sept. 12, 2001, in Oklahoma City to Roy Eugene Arnold and Cynthia Spott Arnold.

Calvin grew up in Yukon attending Shedeck Elementary, Independence Elementary, Yukon Middle School and Yukon High School where he graduated in 2020. Calvin was a very proud team member at Nortek Air Solutions where he began his employment in 2023.

Calvin enjoyed playing sports from an early age, playing soccer, T-ball, ice hockey, basketball and football.

Sondra Sue Evans

Body

Sondra Sue Evans, age 86, of Yukon, passed away Jan. 27, 2025. She was born in El Reno on July 31, 1938, to Glenn and Emma (Stephens) Coffman.

The family later moved to New Mexico.

While in high school, Sondra met Henry Evans and the two were married on April 6, 1955. Henry was in the Air Force and the newlyweds moved to Bangor, Maine.

After Henry’s discharge, the family eventually moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Yukon. 

Sondra worked for many years for TG&Y at their service desk.

She later worked for Little Giant.
