Jerry Wynel Childers

On Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, Jerry Wynel Childers of Norman, a beautiful soul and loving mother of five children, passed away peacefully at the young age of 90.

Jerry was born Feb. 19, 1929, on the family farm outside Union City to Dennis and Neoma Kitzmiller. She spent most of her youth in El Reno, graduating from El Reno High School in 1947. She married Dan W. Childers and they had three sons, Dan, Mark and Dallas, and two daughters, Leah and Lisa.

After living in both Chickasha and Oklahoma City for many years, Jerry moved to Norman to be closer to family.

Bina Erline Carter

Bina Erline (McWethy) Carter, 77, of Yukon, died Oct. 1, 2019, in Oklahoma City after battling various illnesses for several years.

Bina was born Oct. 22, 1941, in Hinton to Mildred Mary (Costello) and Kay Albert McWethy. She was a 1959 graduate of El Reno High School and attended Oklahoma State University. Bina married Ronald Lee Jackson in 1960, and they had four children. The couple divorced in 1981.

Paul Joseph Schwarz

Prayer service for Paul Joseph Schwarz of El Reno will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart with Revs. Francis Nguyen and Lance Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Okarche. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Anna Jeanette Hall

Anna Jeanette (Bynum) Hall, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 10, 2019. She was born March 19, 1936, in Fort Smith, Ark. She met the love of her life, Ray S. Hall, whom she married on Nov. 3, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark.

As the wife of a career soldier, she lived in many places around the world and was the loving mother of four sons, each born at a different Army post. In 1967, Jean and her family moved to El Reno.

Damion Hayes

Funeral services for Damion C. Hayes were held Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Larry E. Collins II officiating.

Damion passed away Oct. 3, 2019. He was born March 30, 1988. He graduated from El Reno High School in 2006.

Damion was very active in sports, particularly in basketball where he was the starting point guard for the EHS basketball team.

He was employed in the gaming industry for many years, serving as a security guard, cashier and drop count technician.

Edmond Dean Gordon

Memorial services for Edmond Dean Gordon of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at Faith Family Church with Rev. Paul Roach officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Calumet Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Allen Floyd Spencer Jr.

Allen Floyd Spencer Jr. passed away Sept. 28, 2019. He was born Feb. 3, 1962, in Burbank, Calif., to Allen and Lulubelle (Pigorsch) Spencer.

Some of Allen’s hobbies were fishing and riding motorcycles and he truly loved being outdoors. He worked as a surveyor for the state transportation highway department for 30 years. His last project was Highway 81 between El Reno and Union City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Spencer Sr. 

Charles Randall

Funeral services for Charles Eldon Randall of Calumet were held Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Blount officiating.

Burial was in the Red Rock Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Randall passed away Oct. 7, 2019, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Watonga. Charles had lived in Oklahoma, Alaska and Arizona. He had served in the U.S. Army, and was a carpenter by trade.

Grace Lowe

Grace Lowe, 106, formerly of Burden, Kan., died Oct. 5, 2019, at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield, Kan. Mrs. Lowe was born June 13, 1913, on a farm southeast of Atlanta, Kan., to Claude and Georgia (Bright) Womacks. She received her early education at Baltimore District Grade School and graduated from Atlanta High School in 1931. After graduation, she worked in a combined cafe-grocery store and the bank.

Dena Davis

Funeral services for Dena Mae Davis of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Pearson of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Calumet Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Dena passed away Oct. 5, 2019, at Grace Living Center in El Reno. She was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Omega and came to El Reno in 1996. She had attended the Omega Christian Church in Watonga.
