Cutting the ribbon on fitness

The new Fitness Court in Adams Park will be dedicated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.

The Fitness Court was funded through a grant secured by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes.

Raven Bramlett, Healthy Lifestyle Program Specialist with the C&A, said the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 and will feature comments from C&A and city leaders.

There will also be a presentation on how to utilize the court as well as information on classes that will start in the spring.

Christmas classic set for six-performance run at ER’s Centre Theatre

There’s a lot of Christmas spirit happening at the Centre Theatre. And it all culminates with the Centre Theatre for the Arts production of A Christmas Story. 

Directed by Guy Hickerson, the live performances of the classic tale will feature a cast of 12, made up of actors from El Reno, Yukon and Piedmont. Showtimes are Dec. 13, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 14, 20 and 22 at 2 p.m.

The young entrepreneurs said they made over $100 in the first four days of their efforts.

Cole reaffirms commitment to solving MMIP crisis

There are 86 missing Indigenous persons in Oklahoma, according to data from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons Systems.

At a Nov. 20 House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Interior, Environment and Related Agencies hearing, Appropriations Chairman Rep. Tom Cole (R-Moore) reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the federal government is working to provide resources and services to combat the issue.
