The Sooners and the Cowboys didn’t play this year, but that did not stop Sacred Heart Catholic School from raising money for El Reno’s Blessing Baskets.

This year they sold footballs, basketballs, softballs and baseballs to show team spirit.

Blessing Baskets is always the winner, with OSU selling $1,010.75 and OU selling $332.50 for a total of 1,343.25.

A pep rally was held to announce the winner.

Apron Annies HCE members and husbands hosted their annual Center of Family Love Christmas party recently at the center.

Residents and staff enjoyed a special visit by Santa and his favorite reindeer, enjoyed refreshments, pictures and singing Christmas carols.

Damrosch Ladies Music Club will be performing Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 101 S. Barker Avenue.

A small reception will follow the performance and all are invited.
