A week after the city of El Reno started an annexation process, the Yukon City Council unanimously approved taking steps toward expanding the city limits west toward El Reno.
Council members, at their Tuesday night meeting, voted 5-0 to direct that a notice of the proposed annexation and a public hearing “be published in a legally qualified newspaper of general circulation in the territory and to direct that a copy of said notice of proposed annexation be mailed to all owners of property to be annexed.”
