Redlands Community College women’s basketball team suffered back-to-back losses for just the second time this season after dropping games to Seminole State College (62-47) and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (64-53).
The two-game slide moved the Cougars to 9-6 on the season and 2-2 in the NJCAA Region 2 standings. Redlands is tied for fourth with Northern Oklahoma College of Tonkawa.
Thirteen missed layups and a 2-of-22 effort from the 3-point line signaled an end to a 10-game win streak as Redlands Community College men’s basketball team lost a road game at Seminole State College 85-61.
The loss to the Trojans dropped Redlands to 15-3 on the season and came on the heels of a 103-90 victory over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, ranked third in the nation, three days earlier.
Redlands is now 3-1 in the NJCAA Region 2 standings and tied with NEO and Murray State for the lead.
Betty Jane Reimers peacefully passed from this life on Jan. 18, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born Nov. 16, 1931, on a farm near Calumet, Okla.
Her early education began at Rock Dale, a nearby country school, when she was just 4 years old. After her family moved to a farm closer to Calumet, Betty attended Calumet High School, graduating at the remarkable age of 16. She then attended business school in Oklahoma City and worked at the First National Bank in Calumet.
