Netters down Del City in Legion Park dual, regional action begins

Due to schedule voids due to weather, El Reno High School’s tennis teams picked up a home dual with Del City, defeating the Eagles by a combined 8-2 margin.

The El Reno boys won all six of their matches as singles player Jim Rinehart logged two wins by scores of 6-4/6-1 and 6-0/6-1.

Sergio Rosas lost just six games en route to a pair of wins by scores of 6-4/6-0 and 6-0/6-1.

Devlon Galyon and Aydan Steffler paired up for a 6-4/6-4 doubles win.

Nova Underwood and Jonathan Albrecht won their pairs match by a 6-1/6-3 tally.

Brooks medal run rolls on, relays and thrower earn points

Ethan Brooks added two more medals to his freshman season haul as El Reno High School’s track teams took part in the 2025 Suburban Conference Track and Field Championships. The El Reno boys took fifth overall with 40 team points, 16 of those from Brooks.

He earned second place in the 800-meter run with a time of two minutes and 1.03 seconds. He was a mere 36/100ths of a second behind winner Ayden Ringwald of Shawnee.

Brooks was second in the 1,600-meter run at 4:38 - three seconds behind Guthrie’s Isaiah Blevins.

Carter Roman Nose, El Reno boys basketball’s all-time career scoring leader, recently signed to play college basketball for the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Roman Nose will be the next EHS star to play for the Bronchos following Callen Haydon.

Davis heads to Edmond

Body

El Reno High School senior Tre Davis signed with Edmond-based Oklahoma Christian University.

Davis helped the Indians win their first-ever district title and surpassed the 1,000-point career scoring mark this past season.
