El Reno duo drop shootout match

Though it ended with an overtime shootout loss, El Reno High School graduate Conley Knapp is happy with the way she and classmate Ja’Niya Loreto closed out their high school careers.

The pair started for the West in the 2025 Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association’s Class 5A All-State Game, with Knapp serving as one of the team’s captains.

“I think I played pretty well. It was hot outside so I felt like the game was pretty slow, but I still think I did pretty well,” said Knapp.

Final innings with dad

Calumet High School’s Cody Thiessen was looking forward to coaching his son, Kyler one last time in the 2025 Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association’s All-State Game.

Thiessen was selected to coach the Small West team along with Cashion’s Blake Mounce. His oldest son was picked as one of four infielders.

“Yes, it was emotional,” said Thiessen.

As it turns out, the father-son duo would get only three more innings together. A rainstorm in Enid halted the game after three innings.
