Jessica Lee Lacefield Towbin passed away Sept. 15, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home in Asheville, N.C.

She was born to Tim Lacefield and Patty DeLoach on Feb. 10, 1965, at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She attended grade school in El Reno and finished her schooling in Atlanta, Ga. 

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Tim Lacefield.

El Reno rallies for walk-off wins

Brailynn Pawnee singled home a run in the bottom of the ninth inning as El Reno High School’s fast-pitch softball team threw a wrench into the District 5A-2 standings with a 5-4 win over Midwest City.

Pawnee’s single was the second straight walk-off hit by the Indians in a 24-hour period and dropped the Bombers into a tie with Guthrie for second place in the league standings.

Robert Lee Littler, a retired firefighter, passed away Sept. 18, 2025.

He was born Dec. 4, 1942.

He is survived by his wife, Tressie; son, Robert David Littler; and two granddaughters, Krystal Littler and Daisy Pogue.

ER spikers drop first SC outing

El Reno High School’s volleyball team, ranked No.12 in Class 5A, had its two-match win streak halted last week with a 3-2 road loss to Newcastle in Suburban Conference action.

The 25-10/25-17/16-25/18-25/15-11 loss dropped El Reno to 13-11 on the season and 3-1 in league action and out of a first-place tie.

The Indians served at 90 percent and held a 13-9 edge in aces, led by Ava Felton and Jaida Richardson with four each.

Deyana Cookston and Brantlie Charmasson had two aces each and Daily Maples with one.
