Rain strikes out Indians in 5A-2 set

Body

For the second time in four days, Mother Nature threw a curve ball at El Reno High School’s baseball team as a steady rain forced a stoppage in play during the Indians District 5A-2 series with Guthrie.

With the score tied at 3-all, El Reno’s Grady Lesperance drew a lead-off walk in the bottom of the fourth inning before play was halted. El Reno head coach Keith Hill said the game will not be restarted since the outcome will not affect the final district outcome.
