El Reno mayor says Halliburton property expected to be sold

The Halliburton property where more than 800 people worked before the energy giant announced it was closing its El Reno operation is expected to be sold.

Mayor Matt White told an El Reno Now audience the state Department of Commerce has indicated there is “a line” of potential buyers for the property.

Halliburton announced it was closing the campus on East SH 66 earlier this month. The energy giant said it was moving the operations back to Duncan where it had relocated from about five years ago.
