It would appear there are jobs to be had. Canadian Valley Technology Center hosted a job fair on Wednesday. Some 82 different companies set up tables, filling the entire seminar
Police said an altercation between two adults took place about 5 pm on Friday. The incident took place on Watts, near El Reno High School but did not involve the school or students.
The Halliburton property where more than 800 people worked before the energy giant announced it was closing its El Reno operation is expected to be sold.
Mayor Matt White told an El Reno Now audience the state Department of Commerce has indicated there is “a line” of potential buyers for the property.
Halliburton announced it was closing the campus on East SH 66 earlier this month. The energy giant said it was moving the operations back to Duncan where it had relocated from about five years ago.
