Redlands sells to Waffle House

Posted in:

Redlands Community College sold 0.89 acres to Waffle House Inc. during a special Regents meeting Wednesday morning.

RCC sold the parcel that rests at the corner of Country Club and Settler's Crossing for $275,000. The community college still owns another 2.11 acres of Country Club frontage. The school is open to selling it entirely or dividing it, said RCC's Dayna Rowe, Executive Director for External Affairs.

"By selling this undeveloped land, we are supporting the city's efforts to attract new businesses and meet the needs of our rapidly growing community,” said Redlands President Jena Marr. “This opportunity aligns with our commitment to fostering economic development and creating a thriving environment for both businesses and residents."

Waffle House will add to the collection of food offerings along Country Club Road. A Whataburger is currently under construction farther to the south on Country Club.
