The Kids Hot Wheels Races, sponsored by the El Reno Fire Department, drew several hundred competitors this year bidding for one of three trophies over a series of knockout rounds.
Trophy winners were Bently Melton, David Hudlson and Blake Melvin.
The El Reno Wranglers held their monthly meeting recently, with Trisha Duncan and Brady Armold leading in the flag salute.
There was discussion regarding the Open Play Day set for June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Denny-Crump Arena.
The Wranglers also discussed participating in the June 24 Chickasha Parade.
It was noted the Mustache Bash was a huge success.
Next Wranglers meeting is set for 7 p.m. July 6 at the Denny-Crump Arena.

Dillon Goddard and Nicholas Rinehart, 2016 El Reno High School graduates, followed in the footsteps of their family members to the University of Oklahoma.

Both recently graduated from OU.
Goddard’s OU graduates are from his mother’s side of the family, while Rinehart’s come from both his father and mother’s side.
El Reno Masons have helped support Mobile Meals for several years by asking that at least two members of the Lodge make themselves available for meal delivery.
Member Ian King accepted that mission and has had a few other members help over the years.
El Reno Masonic Lodge was able to budget a donation this year as well and it was presented to Norman Sheridan, El Reno Mobile Meals director.
El Reno Masonic Lodge’s goals are to find the needs of the community and to help address them.
Members of EHS Leadership present Nikki Pruitt with a donation of over $4,500 for The Lord’s Harvest.
The funds were generated from SMASH WEEK — Students Making A Stride for Hope.
Okarche High School April Lion and Lioness honorees are Braxton Smith and Abigayle Johnson.
The May Lion and Lioness honorees are Jake Henrichs and Jaycee Taylor.
Okarche May Students of the Month are Kaytlin Steelman and Boston Kremeier.
The President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Honor Roll at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Sayre and Yukon have been announced for the 2023 spring semester.
To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, an undergraduate student must earn all A’s in 12 or more hours during a semester.
Listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll are those completing 12 semester hours with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher with no grade lower than a C.

El Reno High School Class of 2013 recently celebrated its 10-year reunion with a gathering at the American Legion.
A great turnout was reported, with everyone enjoying reminiscing and catching up on current life journeys.
