Honoring those who served, paid ultimate sacrifice
El Reno will join the nation on Memorial Day, remembering those who gave their lives to ensure freedom lives on for those who call the United States of America home.
Mike Booher, commander of American Legion Post 34, said the preparation for the ceremony on Monday, May 31 will begin Saturday morning, May 29.
That’s when Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, as well as volunteers, will gather at the El Reno Cemetery to place small American flags on the graves of those who served in the U.S. military.
