From the sidelines - Secret is out: Roman Nose sets El Reno’s career scoring mark

Body

With every shot that Carter Roman Nose took in last week’s game with Carl Albert, there were collective gasps rolling out of the mouths of El Reno fans along with the occasional, “There it is.”

And with every shot by the senior that ripped the threads, there were pencils and pens in the hands of the EHS coaches and this journalist jotting down notes and doing quick math.

Yet somehow through all that chaotic madness, Roman Nose never picked up on the fact he was on the brink of making El Reno High School history.

We’ve been going to the high school basketball games because our son, James plays. It has been so much fun! He will be a senior next year, but we might just be hooked and keep going to the games even after he graduates. I love seeing all the kids having fun and the teachers having fun with them!

El Reno Acts of Kindness Day was Feb. 19.

But actually, it should be celebrated every day.

Kindness is easy but it is not always natural. National Random Acts of Kindness Day (Feb. 17) aimed to help make kindness purposeful for one day, with the hope that the acts of kindness continue.
