El Reno High School’s volleyball team, ranked No.12 in Class 5A, had its two-match win streak halted last week with a 3-2 road loss to Newcastle in Suburban Conference action.

The 25-10/25-17/16-25/18-25/15-11 loss dropped El Reno to 13-11 on the season and 3-1 in league action and out of a first-place tie.

El Reno High School’s Lily Owen ran a personal best time to pace all El Reno High School runners at the 2025 Edmond Santa Fe Wolf Pack Run – one of the largest mid-season races.

Owen posted a time of 23 minutes and 10 seconds to place 40th overall.

She was one of 20 runners to cover the 5-kilometer (3.1- mile) course in the 23-minute range.

She surpassed her previous best 5K time of the season by a minute and 38 seconds and missed the top 35 by 10 seconds.

Six extra base hits over a three-game stretch helped push Okarche High School’s fast-pitch softball team into the playoffs on a two-game win streak.

The Warriors defeated Okeene (9-1) and Thomas/Fay-Custer (9-1) but fell to Garner (5-2) to close the regular season with a 17-13 overall record.

Callie Cramer posted two singles, a double, a triple and a home run.

Bella Hufnagel doubled and Lawson Geheb slugged two homers.

Union City High School’s baseball team earned its highest ranking of the season last week, moving up to the No.8 spot in the latest Class A poll of the regular season.

The Tigers, now 18-10 overall, won three of four games to close out the regular season with the loss coming to Binger-Oney (2-1), the No.13 team in the same poll.

The wins were over Paden (7-0), Hydro-Eakly (8-4) and Sentinel (9-1).

Redlands Community College’s soccer team hosted Eastern Oklahoma after a recent slate of road games.

Redlands Community College wrapped up its recent three-match road swing in NJCAA Region 2 play with a 1-2 record after dropping a 3-0 score to the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain.

The loss came on the heels of a 3-1 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Redlands is now 2-3 in the Region 2 standings for fifth place. The Cougars are 4-3-1 on the season.

Redlands goals in the NEO win were by Jaidyn Gonzalez, Paige Treat and Jordan Willeford. Ashanti Lewis logged two assists and Gonzalez a third.
