Funeral services for Virginia Lee Tomlin of El Reno will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at Crossbridge Church with Rev. Mark Fryar officiating. Interment will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tomlin passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at Grace Living Center with her family by her side. She was born April 6, 1928, in Lawrence County, Ky., and came to Oklahoma in 1978. Virginia had worked for many different nursing homes including Grace Living Center. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rachel (Johnson) Layne; her husband, Lewis Tomlin; infant son, Danny Tomlin; brother, Sam Layne; and sister, Goldie Layne.

She is survived by four sons, Roger Tomlin and wife, Becky of El Reno, Randy Tomlin and wife, Linda of Cookson, Rickey Tomlin and wife, Kathy of Vian and Ronnie Tomlin and wife, Sandi of El Reno; three daughters, Patty Zimmer of Chickasha, Phyllis Tomlin and Mary Williams, both of El Reno; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Though Virginia loved her family, she was so tired and prayed daily for God to take her to her heavenly home, so it is with a heavy heart we say goodbye and also rejoice that she is now wrapped in the arms of God and reunited with so many loved ones.
