Gala to support victims of human trafficking

Body The Dragonfly Home will host its Eighth Annual Crown of Beauty Gala in support of its services for victims of human trafficking on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in downtown Oklahoma City.

Converting hits to runs a struggle

Body Union City and Calumet High School’s fast-pitch softball teams have been struggling of late to convert hits into runs, which has forced both schools to take hits in the win-loss columns. Union City has posted a 2-3 record over the past five games to slip to 3-8 on the season.

Body Allen Chase Woods, 28, passed away Aug. 16, 2023, in Greenville, S.C. He was born Aug. 25, 1994, in Oklahoma City to Yolanda and Paul Woods. He attended El Reno schools. Chase recently moved out to Honea Path, S.C., for employment. Chase enjoyed the simple things.
