A program that helps Canadian County’s most vulnerable kids served 130 abused and neglected youth in fiscal year 2023. And the financial support of Canadian County commissioners helps make that possible, the program’s director said.

Robert “Bob” Eugene Miller, 70, of El Reno, passed away July 24, 2023, in El Reno, after a battle with Hunington’s disease.  Bob was born Jan. 17, 1953, in Long Beach, Calif., to William Walter and Bertha Irene Miller.

Douglas Shane Murphy, better known as Doug, died July 31, 2023, at the age of 60 years old. He was born July 11, 1963, and was a lifelong resident of Union City. Throughout his life, Doug always enjoyed spending time with those he loved.
