Mass of Christian Burial for Johanna Marie Bollinger will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church in Union City with Rev. Lance Warren officiating. Burial will be at the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Huber-Benson, with the family present from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Johanna died Aug. 1, 2023, at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno. She was born Nov. 26, 1927, at home in Banner. She attended Pleasant Valley Rural School first through eighth grades, graduated from El Reno High School in 1945 and El Reno Junior College in 1947.

She worked as a secretary for Ryan Morris Insurance.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed working on the farm, her dogs, and was active in her Catholic faith.

In her later years, she enjoyed a good political debate and was an avid Fox News watcher.

On April 17, 1951, Johanna married Roy Dale Bollinger. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Dale Bollinger; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria Ann and Kenneth Kortemeier; and a sister, Lois Lagaly.

Johanna is survived by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Bollinger of El Reno; brothers, Doyle Biller of Downey, Calif., and Joe Biller of Yukon; sisters, Leona Michaelis of Caddo and Esther Biller of Oklahoma City; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chad and Andrea Bollinger and their daughter, Allison Bollinger, Bryson and Hillary Bollinger and their son, Braxton Bollinger, Angel and Lee Stewart and their children, Ellison Stewart and Paisleigh Stewart, and Christy Kortemeier and her daughters, Rebekkah Fraze and Lillian Fraze.
