Mattie Pritchett hit a deep 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds left as Calumet High School’s girls basketball team won its second straight game with a 41-40 decision over Hinton. Calumet improved to 4-3 on the year heading into the Canton Invitational.

Keeping up the pressure to crack the top five in the Class B poll, Calumet High School’s boys basketball team won its fourth straight game with a 75-56 decision over Hinton. The Chieftains, ranked sixth in the state, improved to 6-1 on the year heading into the Canton Invitational.

Redlands Community College women’s basketball team fell to 1-2 in the NJCAA Region 2 standings with a recent 85-58 loss to Eastern Oklahoma State College. The Cougars are now 5-6 on the season.

After spotting Class 3A powerhouse Perry 15 points, El Reno High School’s wrestling team reeled off nine straight wins en route to a 45-25 victory over he seventh-ranked Maroons. El Reno, ranked sixth in Class 5A, improved to 2-0 on the dual season.

Two days after snapping a losing streak with a conference win over Eastern Oklahoma State College, Redlands Community College men’s basketball team dropped an 81-46 contest in Texas to Frank Phillips College.
