On Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, Richard “Buddy” Kamm passed away at the age of 70.
Buddy was born Dec. 25, 1949, to Richard and Lorene Kamm in El Reno. He graduated from El Reno High School in 1968 where he loved playing football and making memories with friends. He later received an associates degree from El Reno Community College.

Carol passed away Dec. 29, 2019. She was born Sept. 30, 1957, in El Reno to Alfred and Agnes Ratterman Steinbruck. She was a lifelong resident of the community and was employed as office manager for Gene Sears Supply.
Her joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Graveside services for Messiah Ryan Bearshield will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Messiah passed away Jan. 4, 2020, at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 31, 2019.
Messiah is survived by his mother, Raechelle Bearshield; father, Thomas Maul II; grandparents, Lana Little Elk and William Bearshield; great-grandmother, Linda Little Elk; and three siblings, Lilyana, Coty Jr. and Zayden.
Prayer service for Marilee J. Church, 65, of El Reno will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart with burial in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Marilee passed away Jan. 6, 2020, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City.
Nancy Raylene Couch passed away Jan. 3, 2020, at her home in El Reno.
She was born Oct. 5, 1943, in El Reno. She married Floyd Leon Couch on Dec. 21, 1959. Nancy retired from the Canadian County Assessors Office and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and fishing.
Leon preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lavern and Nancy Lee (Quinn) Lair, and a brother, Terry Lair.
El Reno Now is starting off the year with an awards-type banquet aimed at celebrating the many successes found throughout the community. The event will feature Gov. Kevin Stitt as the keynote speaker.
On Jan. 16, state officials, public school leaders, community volunteers and citizens from all walks of life will meet at the Palace Event Center on Banner Road.
The banquet will bring the community together to look back at the accomplishments of 2019, as well as take a glimpse into the future, said the city of El Reno’s Heather Brothers.
