The library is back. After two months of construction, El Reno Carnegie Library is opening back up to the public. The grand opening is set to be a day of celebration, with a slew of fun activities for children. The event is set for this Saturday, Oct. 26.

Funeral services for Alma Mae Moberly will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at First Christian Church in Calumet with Pastor Tim Clausing officiating. Burial will be in the Canadian Valley Cemetery in Calumet. Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Geary.

Memorial service for Vickie Lynn Vrana of El Reno will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at Lake El Reno. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home of Enid.

After seven games, El Reno High School’s football team has a legitimate shot at winning a district title for the first time since 2009, so the Indians are treating each of the final three games of the regular season with kid gloves. Even the ones expected to be a blowout on paper.
