Who doesn’t love a good love story? Especially a love story that has lasted 50 years!

It starts out when a boy asked a girl out for a Coke date back in 1975. That boy was Larry Nance and that girl was Karen King.

Fifty years later they were kind enough to share their story with me.

Senior guard Jonathan Reed wanted to tie his career-high scoring mark, falling short by a missed free throw, but says he can live losing that fight as long as his team won the war.

Which the Indians did.

El Reno High School’s boys basketball team took over sole possession of first place in the District 5A-1 standings with a 71-66 victory over archrival Carl Albert in the first of two league meetings.
