Body El Reno had 56 campers attend the three-day EHS Basketball Camp. It was one of several youth clinics restarted this summer after the ease of COVID-19 restrictions. See upcoming editions for photos from baseball and volleyball camps.  

Body Following six straight road games to kick off the season, El Reno High School’s summer baseball team jumped back into Red Dirt League action last week, splitting home games with Putnam City West and tying Destiny Christian.

Body El Reno High School graduate Ryan Island, seated center, signed a national letter of intent recently to play basketball for Haskell Indian Nations University located in Lawrence, Kan. He is the second player off El Reno’s program to sign with a college team in the sport.  

Body El Reno High School’s Dailey Jennings earned All-American status earlier this month wrestling for Team Oklahoma at the 2021 USA Wrestling 16-and-under National Duals. Formerly known as the Cadet National Duals, the event was held in Westfield, Ind.

Body After a year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, El Reno began hosting youth summer sports camps. The EHS girls basketball program was first up with 56 campers, both boys and girls, taking part in a three-day camp.

Body The Second Annual Canadian Valley Chapter of Quail Forever Fundraising Banquet will be held at the Mustang Community Center on Friday, June 25. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. featuring guest speaker Lacey Swope, meteorologist for an Oklahoma City television station.

Body OKLAHOMA CITY – With a large number of new players on the varsity roster this summer, El Reno head coach Keith Hill went looking for extra games to get added playing time.

Body In an effort to get more competitive against upper-tier opponents, El Reno High School girls basketball coach Jennifer Douglas has opted to put her players up against some of the best teams in the state this summer. So far the move has paid off.

Body It wasn’t long after he first picked up a glove and started throwing a baseball around that Rhett Kouba dreamed of one day playing on the biggest stage in college baseball – the NCAA College World Series.

Body In an ironic twist of fate, El Reno High School graduate Jaylin Reveles ended up playing what could be her final high school game wearing the same colored jersey as she will in college.
