Graveside services for Jon William West were held Friday in the Sunset Cemetery in Geary with Eugene Black Bear II officiating.

Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Services for Deborah Joyce Blanchard, formerly of El Reno, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Neal of Love Church in Davis officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Debbie died Nov. 20, 2020, at home in Wellston. She was born Nov. 4, 1954, in Tipton. 

She was a registered nurse working in hospitals, doctors offices and nursing homes including Grace Living Center.

Rosary for Rita Jane “Janey” Wiewel Vogt Kretchmar was held Monday in the Benson Memorial Chapel, with Mass of Christian Burial held Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Janey died Nov. 20, 2020, at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno. She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Okarche. A lifelong resident of the Okarche area, she was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Graveside services for Ida Jean Island were held Tuesday at the Concho Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Ida died Nov. 18, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born May 10, 1955, in Clinton. She lived most of her life in El Reno and taught in the Head Start Program at Concho.   

Graveside services for Ruth Ann Sleeper will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Concho Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Ruth died Nov. 19, 2020, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Clinton and lived most of her life in Canadian County.

She was retired from Target and a member of First Baptist Church in Anadarko.   

Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Joseph Barthelme were held Monday at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche with Rev. Cory Stanley officiating. Burial followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Robert died Nov. 15, 2020, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Sept. 13, 1957, in Okarche.

He was a machinist working in the oil industry.

Everett was many things to many people. It’s difficult to sum him up in an obituary. Darn near impossible.

Everett Jarome Adams was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Calumet. He met the love of his life, June (Laquita June Welch) in high school and they married in 1953. Hearing Everett’s story of how they met and got married was priceless. Together they had one son, Charles Jarome Adams. Needless to say, Jarome was very special to them and many others. Jarome passed in August of 2014 and June passed in May of 2018. June and Everett were married 64 beautiful years, together 65.

Virginia Reiswig passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at the age of 89, exactly one month before her 90th birthday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

Rev. John Joseph Michalicka, a retired beloved priest of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, died peacefully on Nov. 13, 2020, at his residence in Oklahoma City. He was 86.

Services for Donnell Hayes Sr. were held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at Redlands Community College Conference Center with Dr. Larry Collins II officiating.

Mr. Hayes passed away Nov. 6, 2020. He was born April 21, 1938, in Boley and graduated from Boley High School.

Donnell moved to El Reno in 1970, where he retired from Evergreen Feeds after 31 years of service.
