When classes for El Reno Public Schools resume, parents can rest assured the district has been working to help curb the possible spread of the coronavirus within its buildings.

“We already disinfect our buildings but we do not do it to the extent we are now,” said Wes Brower, the district’s Director of Operations. “We are constantly disinfecting door knobs and the high-traffic areas. Water fountains are big ones that we have to wipe down two or three times a day because kids put their mouths on the spouts.

El Reno Ministerial Alliance manning assistance hotline to help ease coronavirus tension

If you are feeling alone, disconnected or just need help with errands because normal daily life has been upended by the coronavirus, the El Reno Ministerial Alliance wants to hear from you.

Pastor Allen Carson of Wesley United Methodist Church said several members of the Ministerial Alliance have joined to create a hotline for those impacted by the virus outbreak.

Carson said because many people, especially the elderly, are forced to remain in their homes, they may feel alone and need someone to talk with.
