Dealership changes name but not commitment

Body

At 65, Rick Jones said he wanted to make sure the Buick-GMC dealership he built and has operated for the past 32 years continued with the same commitment to “trust and integrity” when it came time for him to step away.

That’s why the El Reno dealership is now known as Dorsey-Jones Buick-GMC.

At 32, Cole Dorsey hasn’t been in the auto business as long as Jones, but he’s been in it as long as he can remember.

Dorsey grew up in it.

Fly-in frenzy

Body

On a sun-drenched Saturday a crowd estimated at some 2,000 converged on the El Reno Regional Airport for the first-ever Fly-In and Community Day.

What they saw was history take to the skies as some 80 airplanes, many with military backgrounds, rested along the open areas of the airport, while vintage planes zipped into the air, taking passengers for rides and providing an aerial show not seen here in years.
