Obituaries

A memorial service for Randall E. Black will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Scotty Lewellen officiating.

Randy died Dec. 25, 2021, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born June 10, 1967, in Burlington, Colo. He moved to Lovington, N.M., in 1978 with his mother and brother. He graduated from Lovington High School in 1985. During this time, he took pride in racing anyone willing on the back roads. Randy was known to be a fun-loving friend that would tease everyone around him.   

Services for Geraldine “Gerri” Ann (Couchman) Barrow were held Dec. 31 at Okarche First Baptist Church, with burial in the Okarche Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Gerri died Dec. 25, 2021, at Sunset Estates in Purcell. She was born June 6, 1941, in Okeene where she graduated from high school. She attended nursing school and graduated from Mid-America Vo-Tech with her LPN license. She worked at Purcell Hospital, Health-Back Home Health and other nursing jobs. She was a member of Okarche First Baptist Church.

John Walter Woods was born April 18, 1937, in Union City to Robert and Ethel (Segress) Woods. He passed away Dec. 27, 2021, in Union City.

John graduated from Union City High School in 1955 and went on to serve in the National Guard. Throughout his life he worked as a farmer and was a master carpenter. On Dec. 23, 1993, he met the love of his life, Janice. Together the two of them enjoyed dancing and going out to the lake.

Ramona Vaughn, age 84 of Purcell, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at Purcell Municipal Hospital. 

Services for Frances Louise (Guthery) Thomas of Minco were held Wednesday at the First Reformed Presbyterian Church in Minco, with burial following in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Louise passed away Dec. 23, 2021, at her home. She was born April 1, 1937, southwest of Minco, and attended Minco schools. She completed her GED in 1972 and became part of the Minco High School Class of 1955.

Lois Marie (Patten) Snyder of El Reno crossed over on the 26th day of December, 2021, to be with the Lord. She was born July 29, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio. She graduated from Springfield High in 1956.

Services for Zelma Reuter are pending with Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Mrs. Reuter died Monday at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Hydro

Edgar Eugene Douglas was born in El Reno on July 23, 1941, to Newton Edgar Douglas and Frances Marguerite Payne, both of whom preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Marshall Keith Black were held Thursday at the Concho Community Hall, with burial in the Concho Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Richard Alan Putman of Minco were held Tuesday at Hazel Dell Baptist Church, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
