A woman from Yukon and a man from Oklahoma City were two of three people who died in a collision involving a tractor trailer at Morgan Road and Interstate 40 in the eastbound lanes Friday, Sept. 13, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Kylee Byfield, 27, of Yukon, was the driver of a car that was involved in a four-vehicle collision, the patrol reported. Byfield was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:13 p.m. Friday.

In early September, the U.S. Department of Justice announced criminal charges against two employees of RT (formerly Russia Today), alleging that the state media outlet “orchestrated a massive scheme to influence the American public by secretly planting and financing a content creation company on U.S. soil.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – Laura Talbert has been named interim director of the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs by the office’s board.

Talbert, formerly the office’s chief legal officer, started in her new position Sept. 16.

She replaces Jeffrey Cartmell, who Gov. Kevin Stitt tapped to lead the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
