Funeral services for Clorinda Doris Hubbs of Del City were held Friday at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home SE, with burial in the El Reno Cemetery.

Clorinda passed away Sept. 25, 2021. She was born April 10, 1930, in Shawnee.

While El Reno’s offense was cutting loose at the plate on senior night, Indians right-hander Raley Hartley kept McLoud’s bats handcuffed with her second straight home shutout in a 10-0 win last week.

The victory was the sixth in a row for El Reno, now over .500 for the season at 15-14.

Hartley threw four innings, allowing two hits and striking out one. She had a .697 strike percentage after 23 of her 33 pitches found the zone. Hartley got help from the defense as center fielder Maddie Moss chased down two fly balls for outs.

El Reno High School’s volleyball team stepped closer to another 20-win season last week with a 3-0 victory over Weatherford.

The 25-12/25-12/25-18 decision lifted the Indians, ranked 11th in Class 5A, to 18-11 on the season.

El Reno served at 93 percent against the Eagles with 12 aces, 11 of those from Bailey Denwalt and one by Madison Patswald.

At the net, the offense closed with a .206 hitting percentage with 33 kills against 12 errors. Avery Peffer had a team-high 14 kills, Denwalt with nine and Emma Patswald with four.
