Services for Angel Diane Myers will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Pearson officiating.

Angel died at her home in El Reno on Jan. 10, 2026. She was born in Oklahoma City on July 10, 1972. She was a senior sales representative with AT&T and a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Angel loved anything to do with animals and fostering them and enjoyed her flower garden.

On Sept. 18, 2012, Angel married Wendell Myers. Wendell survives her. 

Transition points fuel girls romp

Scoring on seven of 10 Southeast turnovers in the first period, El Reno High School’s girls basketball team jumped back into the win column with a 61-10 victory over the Spartans.

The 61 points is the second highest of the season for El Reno, which improved to 7-6 on the year. The Indians retain the third spot in the District 5A-2 standings at 5-2 with the 51-point win, its largest winning margin of the season.

Island delivers in clutch

The smallest player on the court delivered some of the biggest baskets down the stretch for El Reno High School’s boys basketball team in a 72-64 win over Southeast.

Senior guard Bradley Island scored 12 of the team’s 17 points over the final four minutes as the Indians move to 5-8 on the season and snapped a two-game losing streak.

More importantly, the eight-point win lifted El Reno into fifth place in the District 5A-2 standings.
