El Reno is bringing the Howe Indian home. 

El Reno Mayor Steve Jensen said the longtime El Reno fixture of the 1960s and ‘70s has been secured and will be brought back to town to become another showpiece of the local culture and tourism. 

The Howe Indian, named for the Howe Chevrolet Auto Dealership that once operated in El Reno, was sold off and moved to Clinton. It was later moved to Geary where a business placed it outside as a marketing piece.

The fixture has reportedly been obtained through efforts of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce and Preservation El Reno.
