El Reno’s Elks Lodge will host a fundraiser for the family of a young boy who is in need of a heart transplant. 

Nancy Salsman said the spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held May 16 at the Elks, 415 S. Rock Island.

The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m., and all proceeds will go to the family of Damien Weaver.

The 12-year-old Roblyer sixth-grade student is currently in the ICU at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. 

A $10 per plate donation is suggested. The event is open to the community and the Elks Lounge will be open to the community that evening as well. 

“Together, we can support Damien and his family,” said Salsman.
