Body Five-year-old Maria Ortiz played with baby Easter chicks in their warming incubator at Ross Seed last week, before picking up one of the chicks and holding it for the camera. The baby chicks are a popular site at the store each year.

Sample ballots available ahead of Tuesday voting

Body Sample ballots are now available for April 2 elections in Canadian County. Voters may download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Canadian County Election Board during normal business hours.

Canadian County Extension to offer free pasture seminar

Body The Canadian County OSU Extension Office will offer a free pasture calibration seminar and one ODAFF CEU credit for private pesticide applicators. The seminar will be held April 3 at the Education Building, 220 N. Country Club Road, and will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Body OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma House Rep. Melissa Provenzano, D-Tulsa, passed HB 3936 off the House floor last week, which changes the term “Child Pornography” to “Child Sex Abuse Material" in statute. “The word pornography suggests that children can consent, which they cannot.
