The mission of El Reno Public Schools for the return of school in August of 2020 is to ensure all students learn at the highest levels possible while taking all steps necessary to reduce any risks to students’ health and safety.

ERPS believes students learn at the highest levels when directly engaged with a classroom teacher through a guaranteed and viable curriculum.

We understand this can be accomplished in different forms depending on the need of the student and the overall wellness of the school and community.

All of these factors will be taken into consideration to shape and manage the various approaches we take. We also understand we will need to be fluid in our approach and prepared to move through the various plans and options as the need arises.

We will always rely on the guidance of state and local health officials as well as the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

With these things in mind, ERPS is prepared to provide students with a safe return to a campus learning environment, taking necessary modifications to accommodate continued social distancing and safety guidelines to the greatest extent possible.

Listed on each of the Principal Column web pages are adjustments our different school sites are preparing to make to accommodate greater student and faculty health and safety.

We are also prepared to adjust and meet the needs of the community and individual students.
