Oklahoma opposes EPA power plant plan
Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is joining a coalition of 21 states fighting a proposed EPA rule which could have the impact of closing down fossil-fueled power plants in some cases.
The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule on emissions from fossil fuel power plants. The coalition believes the EPA is ignoring a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in West Virginia v. EPA, which directed the federal agency must get authorization from Congress before moving forward with changes to things like the power grid.
