ER’s Becky Craig Cattle joins American Angus Association

Becky Craig Cattle, El Reno, is a new member of the American Angus Association.

The American Angus Association, with more than 21,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef breed association in the world.

Its computerized records include detailed information on over 21 million registered Angus.

The association records ancestral information and keeps production records and genomic data on individual animals to develop industry-leading selection tools for its members.

El Reno High School’s boys basketball team has been dominating opponents in the paint over the first six games of the 2024-25 season.

The Indians have scored 114 baskets in the paint off 51 percent shooting.

Dunks have become an early calling card for El Reno, with at least two in each outing and 38 total.

Senior guard Carter Roman Nose has 11 dunks on the season.

Senior Tre Davis has two or more dunks in each game and 22 on the season.

Kason Haydon is third on the team in dunks with five.

RCC women set to begin Region 2 play

When the Redlands Community College women’s basketball team jumps into NJCAA Region 2 play next week, it’s going to be a shootout from the first game to capture a postseason tourney berth.

The Cougars are slated to open the 2025 portion of their schedule Tuesday at Oklahoma Wesleyan before kicking off the 16-game run through Region 2 games.

The first will be at home Thursday with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Redlands closed out 2024 with a 91-60 win over Southwestern Christian University’s junior varsity to improve to 6-4 on the season.
