Bonnie Warren

Body

Bonnie Ellen Warren was born Nov. 23, 1950, to George and Edith Havener of El Reno. She died Feb. 16, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Bonnie grew up in El Reno with her parents and was the oldest of six children. She spent much of her youth working on her family property, helping to tend to her two brothers and three sisters after studying.

Karen Barnard

Karen Michelle Meade Barnard, 51, of Calumet, died at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Feb. 17, 2024.

Karen was born in El Reno on April 7, 1972, to Allen and Pam Meade. She attended Calumet School while attending Canadian Valley Vo-Tech, graduating in 1990. Karen started work at OKC West Livestock in 1991 and dedicated her life to her second home for 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Lydia Meade and Catherine and Gordon Lloyd.

Donald Corn

Body

Donald L. Corn went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Enid to his parents, George and Helen Corn.

Don was raised in El Reno, where he graduated high school. He married Marilyn in March of 1965, and they were married for over 57 years.

Don spent many years working on the railroad before moving into the oil and gas industry. He was a contract pumper for multiple companies. He worked hard and loved doing it, most days with his German Shepherds along for the ride.

Frances Kay Masters

Frances Kay Masters, 78, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, peacefully and surrounded by prayers and love after complications from surgery.

Fran was born Nov. 23, 1945, to Perry and Marie Arnold in El Reno, where she also spent a very idyllic childhood. She was considered and treated like the princess of the family, and she had so many fond memories of growing up, both with her family and with her friends. She was always focused on her studies, excelling at whatever she decided to pursue.

Janis Black

Body

Janis Marie Smith Black, age 81, was called home to Jesus on Feb. 10, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Dorothy Moreland Smith of Goodland, Kan., her son, Randy Black of Yukon, and her sister, Sue Liebl of Stratton, Colo.

Janis is survived by her son, David (Gayle) Black; grandsons, Taylor (Kristin) Black and Trace (fiancée Sarajane) Black; and great-granddaughter, Emelynn, all of El Reno; brother, Alan (Becky) Smith of Cassoday, Kan.; brother-in-law, Nean Liebl of Stratton, Colo.; and numerous nieces, cousins and friends.

Kenneth Royster

Services for Kenneth Edwin Royster were held Thursday at First Baptist Church in Okarche with Rev. James Inman officiating. Burial was Friday at the Pine Creek Cemetery in Lynchburg, Mo., under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Teddy Sullins

Body

Teddy L. Sullins was born in Elk City on Aug. 22, 1939. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard at age 15 and later served in the U.S. Air Force.

After his discharge he used his Air Force training in aircraft hydraulics to become a hydraulic specialist at Tinker Air Force Base.   

He was a former resident of El Reno and a member of the Mustang Church of Christ.

Teddy is survived by his brother, Billy Sullins of Edmond; sister, Freida Lundy of Elk City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lloyd Anthony

Graveside services for Lloyd Jasper Anthony of Ninnekah were held Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Lloyd passed away Feb. 5, 2024, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital South in Oklahoma City. He born Nov. 18, 1940, in Bartlesville. He was raised in the Pocasset community and graduated from Minco High School.

A former El Reno resident, he was a carpenter by trade.

Adrian Elmo Anderson

Body

Funeral services for Adrian Elmo Anderson will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church in El Reno, officiated by Rod Young. Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery at 1 p.m. under the direction of Calloway Smith Cobb. Personal viewing will be held at Calloway Smith Cobb in Rush Springs.

Russell Cochran

Body

Russell Cochran was born Dec. 8, 1980, and went to be with the Lord on Jan. 27, 2024.

He was a loving father, amazing brother and a wonderful uncle.

He joined his parents, Tony and Kathy Cochran, and his beautiful sister, Misty Wilson, in heaven.

Russell leaves behind one child, Gauge Cochran (9). He is also survived by his three sisters, Desarae Cochran, Michelle Spone and Jackie Friese, and one brother, John Cochran.

He will always be remembered and missed by family and friends.
