El Reno couple face animal cruelty charges

Body Charges of animal cruelty have been filed against an El Reno man and woman who authorities said had more than 50 animals living in “deplorable” conditions inside a residence at 1208 S. Hoff. The house has been condemned, officials said.

County offices to close during transition phase

Redlands mural taking on color

Body A new mural being painted on the back wall of the Redlands Community College gym has been transformed from the sketching phase on June 16 to bright colors.The mural is being painted by Enid artist Tox Murillo and should be completed in a few weeks.

John Edward Menz

Body John Edward “Jack” Menz Jr., 73, of El Reno, passed away June 27, 2025, in Oklahoma City. A lifelong resident of El Reno, Jack was born Oct. 29, 1951, at the El Reno Sanitarium to Mary Margaret (Maher) Menz and John Edward Menz Sr.
