Redlands Community College women’s soccer team has had a rocky start to the 2023 season with back-to-back losses including a 4-1 setback to Kansas-based Garden City in its home opener. The Cougars are 0-1 in the NJCAA Region 2 standings after a 4-0 loss to Northern Oklahoma College of Enid.

CHICKASHA – While he was expecting a fast start on the 104th installment of the U.S. 81 Battle, El Reno High School head football coach Russell Cook admits he was impressed with what his team delivered.

The 2023 Canadian County Free Fair held a wide range of events from midway games and rides, barrel racing, food vendors and many exhibits in a variety of categories.

Fort Reno will host two events at the same time at the end of September. The U.S. Cavalry Association will hold its annual National Cavalry Competition alongside a display of the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall.

Ten years. It sounds like a long time, except when talking about missing a loved one. There are days when the loss still feels fresh and the heart longs to hold them again. One local family has chosen to push back by channeling the loss into a fundraising fervor.

A contractor will be paid nearly $100,000 to make heat and air system upgrades before renovations start at Canadian County’s future health department site. County commissioners awarded a $99,735 contract to Trane Manufacturing for the repair project.
